Thickest Front Tires??

What's the thickest front tires you can put on a stock 5th gen civic?

14" stock hubs.

I know 205s will fit, can i go 215 without rubbin on turns?

With my 185's rite now, 2nd gear spin is almost 2 seconds worth..

Thanks.

215 is a guideline Cablerat...tire widths vary manufacturer to manufacturer, product to product... really a 205 tire could be 195 mm wide or 215 mm wide, but it's classified as a 205 for sales strategies and aspect ratio guidelines. There is a website you can search for where they list ACTUAL vs. CLAIMED tire width... as a matter of fact, I think it was on a Saturn page... I'll see if I can find it. Besides that, the stock rims are 5 inches wide... do you really wanna be stretching a 215 tire over a 5 inch rim... methinks not. Besides that, I have a tough time thinking off the top of my head about who makes a 215/50/14 tire assming stock tire size of the Si which was 185/65/14 I would think.

I have Toyo RA-1 205-50/15's on mine and there is no rubbing. I know someone with Toyo RA-1 225-50/15's and there is no rubbing (fenders rolled and stiff jic coilovers). Another buddy has 215-45-17 on his civic and the only rubbing is minimal in the rear because he hasn't rolled the fenders.

yoru car is rubbign cause yoru on "race springs" which is rediculously lowered...eihter way jsut get a good tire not jsut some 205 motomaster.....azenis on steelies by chance comes to mind....ultra ghetto but it woudl work great..they make a 195/60/ I think...either way they make on for a 14 inch rim so cheack that out...they will stop the 2 sec spin
