These engines are supposed to be everywhere?

So where are they? lol Im talking about the D16z6 and D16y8 Si motors? Im looking to buy one with good mileage on it with tranny for a good price, but lots of people dont know where to find them lol.

Any engine importers that have a bunch of these with good compression lying around?

I dont know any local engine importers that are close to Mississauga.

It's not an import engine. Many boards have them in classifieds, like thepartstrader.com and others. Locally, keep checking the class. but if you can't find one and need it soon, then pay the higher price of a wrecker, but at least the engine will be in decent shape and legit and have some sort of warranty, usually startup or 90day.

Yeah, just put Canada, or Toronto, or Ontario in the search criteria, and something may come up. clubsi.com has a canadian for sale forum, and a lot of the guys have hybrids, and there are all kinds of other canadian forums, like clubel.ca TSR, importsociety, and others. Just have patience, but be sure to have cash in hand, so when you find what you want you can pounce on it. Otherwise, you'll never get it...who's gonna wait for you to save $1000? So cash in hand, and get ready to check all the forums at least twice daily. Otherwise, like I said, you can hook up from a local wrecker, tell them you'll buy the complete front cut, and they'll prob give you a deal, then sell off all the other parts to make some money back. Remember, the SOHC VTEC came in many cars, Del Sol, Civic EX, Si, Acura EL....so be sure to check out all the yards.

I have 2 SI motors, d16y8s, with under 40k, manual. They are actually out of the 1.6EL and have a nicer vavle cover (It says 1.6L VTEC, Honda Motor Corp, instead of just "HONDA").

If interested email: redfox_wg@hotmail.com

not sure on labor, usually shops out there charges alot for swapping engines so if possible, better do it yourself, save yourself some $ and can get some more goodies.
The one I was selling was gone and seems like this swap is hot, there should be one coming in sometime next week since my friend gonna have a ITR swap nextweek but his SOHC Vtec swap is in bad condition, consuming oil and the tranny grind.
