Is there such a motor as a JDM SOHC VTEC??

Is there such a motor , "D" series JDM SOHC VTEC ??? If so what kinda horsepower does it make?? thanks

then there's the ZC which is based on the D series block

128Hp in the SOHC and 132Hp in the Dohc.

^^^^^^^^ those numbers r wrong, and vtec didnt come in the dohc zc...... sohc non-vtec zc motors produce roughly 108hp, same as our si motor for the 4th gen, sohc vtec zc motors produce 130hp and the dohc non-vtec engine produces roughly 135hp..

your right... in a sense

but theres so many variations of the ZC you can run from around 119hp to 137

i put this new chip in my car that gives me quad vtec... quad vtec gives my car just about 300 lbs*ft or torque at 2500 rpm too

silly boy, you don't need a chip for that. shifting at exactly 4000 rpm gives you super-hidden VTEC jdm

oops.. I didn't see the vtec part. haha

Almost all the info I can find on the ZC have some what different HP ratings for the sohc & dohc versions.

Anyone here have dynoed results of a sohc & dohc ZC?

ya zc rating on the net are pretty much all over... but i think the most used numbers for the dohc are 137... not sure about the sohc zc though

SOHC ZC has 117hp or somethin like that...it has more than the stock d16a6 thats for sure, my civic with sohc zc ran high 15's stock!
