Is there anyway of boosting my car and leaving the AC in?
 

Just wanted to know if theres any posible way of boosting my car without removing my AC? Has anyone done this before? Are their kits avaliable? Its a 2000 sir.....

All comments/sugestions would be greatly appricated.

definately cheaper to customize your own kit.

You don't need a greddy manfiold. weirTech on the boards does his own fabrication (he makes manifolds, downpipes, charge piping) you can go to him for all your work.. depending on what you want (type of mani, size of DP, etc) your looking at MAX $1000.. unless you want something crazy like a ramhorn. If not.. on average it'll probably be around $600-800(depending on if what you want made).. but talk to him more about what he charges, i'm just speaking in general. Depending on what turbo you want.. prices vary greatly from $300-$1500.. depends on condition, trim,etc. Then of course you add a blow off valve, larger injectors, possibly a few gauges, turbo timer, oil lines, intercooler, couplers, misc. vac. lines, wastegate, boost controller (some of this stuff is extra)

In the end you can spend around $2200 (which is around what the greddy kit goes for) and you can have a way more powerful kit, that was pieced together by you. But then you have to grab an obd1 ecu, socket it and tune it.. I would pm zeeman about that.. his prices are great. A professional usually charges 600+ to fully dyno tune, socket your ecu, etc.

In the end.. you will spend a bit over $3000 for a very powerful, reliable kit. PLus you need clutch kit, upgraded brakes, larger exhaust, blah blah blah.. all that is extra and your choice.

Damn this shyt sounds so hectic. Most likly im just going to end up putting everything together myself. I head that with the Gready kits you can push out about 8psi max. Regardless i want to keep my AC. Most likly ill just endup getting someone making a custom manifold for me. As for the turbo i was thinking something along the lines of a t3 unles anyone has any objections? lol.

real quick spooling? moderate? be more specific.

t3/t4 .57 trim is a pretty popular choice for around the 250whp mark

You don't always need a log manifold. For example Full Race makes Ram Horn manifolds that are A/C compatible.
