temperature problem

temperature problem

as i was driving my newly type R swapped hatch, i realized that my temperature is always near C, and i mean REALLY near C, it never been up to normal, even though i drove the car for a good 20 min, it will still remain the same....could it be sumthing wrong with thermostarter or sumthing?

yup, it's the thermostat. changing it should resolve ur issue

You might have a low temperature thermostat that is used for racing, which opens at 68 degree. If that is the case, it will take longer for the temp. to rise because the engine is intended to be kept as cool as possible.

That's how I was told. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me.

but the thing is....it doesn't rise at all, even when i drove it for a good half hr non stop

Then it could be a faulty thermostat. Might as well change it to a racing type

i dont think acura dealer carry those things....where can i get them=P

Mugen, Spoon... etc sells the low temp thermostat.

Check to see if your temperature sending unit is working properly. It is located in the thermostat housing itself.
Does the cooling fan come on at all?

i went to dealer and got myself a new thermostat, no problem with it after install=)
