Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs
I am thinking about buying these springs is $220 a good deal? I heared they were pretty good springs but then again ive heared that for other products that were ****...
|
Reasonable.
|
I think $220 is an alright deal, just watch out for fakes..you should be able to identify which is fake by using teins website
|
alrite thanks.. ill check out the website what colour are the springs? always the same colour or different
|
i'm running s-techs w/ koni yellows. great setup! but for 220 is alright i guess. i got mine for 2bills cash from jrp, bnib....but that was a couple years ago.
s-techs = green h-techs = bronze |
they come up on the board now and then.. i bought a set used (2 months, or so he says, i trust him though) for $120
i love them.. low, but not too low. not too stiff |
i tossed s tech's on my daily driver ek on stock struts. rides pretty damn nice (imo, better than the stock springs that are on there).
not TOO stiff, not too soft, handles corners far better than stock. 220 isnt a bad deal. bnib is the way to go for springs imo..i wouldnt really toss used springs on there. and, as mentioned before, check tein's site for how to spot fakes. (avoid ebay) |
alrite thanks alot
|
I have them on KYB AGX's in the front and GR2's in the back and they're great. I paid $154 plus tax from JRP.
|
hey guys i jus slapped on a set of S techs on my 98 ek as well, but apprently my shocks are about to die out, any suggestions on shock replacments, should i jus go the normal gr2/agx set up or tokico blues/koni yellows?
im not much into the performance of ride, i realli dun mind the feel of stock, like after the springs were in, i felt the car being bouncy and tats all gd for me...any comments? |
How much of a drop is "S" tech and how much is "H" tech for 98 civic coupe? anyone got pictures? If you do i'd like to see what they look like. I have Tokico Blues with coilovers that i hate, so i want to swap them out for a set of straight lowering springs.
|
go to teins website and look up the specs... s I think is 1.1
H 1.7 keep the blues on those tiens and you'll be fine blues arn't meant for most coil overs |
h is 1.1, s is 1.7
i did s-tech's on my daily driver EK, and it sank me about 1.7 low, without being slammed. still functional, without major wheel gap. looks clean without being slammed. |
I was thinking Neuspeed race or H&R race on my blues. any opinions??
|
hnr used to supply to neuspeed if what i know is true.
and supposidly, when neuspeed went totally "in house" they kept the spring rates and spring data..so..essentially they are the same stuffs..... either of those on blues would be pretty solid..for me, i like the tein ride a bit better..i find it more comfy on lone drives.. a friend of mine has a ek on neuspeed....dunno..i dont like em as much personally.. (TOO stiff for me ....dunno) |
im looking for a lower drop, not really interested in a 1.7 drop, looking for about 2 1/4
|
h & R's are nice
I'm not trying to be a dick, but there is about 3 recent threads about this same subject. Which include discussion on H & R springs, Teins, the options for lowering your car and the fact that H & R use to make neuspeed springs but stopped a couple years ago. |
yeah, this is pretty rehash.
neuspeed does offer a civic kit that drops 2" or more i think.. google is your friend! as is the forum search function ;) |
are you sure s techs are 1.7? and h is 1.1 i thought it was the other way around i have stechs sitting in my room and i was mad after some1 said they wood only drop 1.1 i hope its 1.7
|
stech is 1.7
h tech is 1.1 how do i know? i got stech's ON MY CAR :P and check their site. omg! research reveals all :D |
