gonna be pickin one up shortly... i know my car has the hole for the frame mounting things but they aren't threaded or something? is this true not true? whats the deal?

am i to tap those holes if they are just drilled?

what else should i know before tackling this and screwing something up and just going barbaric and welding all the bracets on

haha thats what happened to me, all the salt eats thos threads over the years... like bb said chase the threads with a tap first, so you dont loose your mind like me and demolish your garage

im still yet to get those fukin screws out lol drilling grade ten bolts isnt the most fun chore in the world

other than that its straight forward, drop the exhust and both shift linkages...

to my understanding the holes on the sub frame are just holes that haven't yet been tapped... tapping it isn't a problem...

or are you talking about the holes on the lca's? i've comtemplated welding on something to my stock lca's to save me changing 6 more bushings

i'm 99% sure there just drilled... thats probably the easiest of things though anyways

i finally sold out and am getting a camber kit as well... i guess now i can keep the tires off my fenders then i might venture into the ES rear trailing arm bushings... i know i said i'd never touch another bushing but i'm gonna be damn bored for 2 weeks, may as well do em

due to cost it looks like its gsr rear sway bar for now...

what would compliment that for the front?

My holes where taped already and my car never came with a sway bar. Although i did use a tap many times in and out to clean the threads.

i think you actually showed me the parts list for it once... basically the deal with the sway bar is that it includes everythings except one of the mount things the connect to the sub frame... otherwise its all there... so i guess i may as well just buy two new ones

i think the LCA's will be the hardest thing to get though... that or just weld on something to connect it all...

5th gen don't have mounting points on the LCAs. Need EF or SRR or Integra LCAs. JookSingKid also has a GSR bar on his car w/ EF LCAs. I have an ITR, and my buddy has a EG with ITR LCAs and an ITR bar. We both run the Beaks kit.

Anybody else have ground clearance issues with swaybars?

I have the front and back ST swaybar kit for my hatch and the lower front catches quite often. I'm not even that low but it hangs a good 1/2 inch lower than any other part of my car.

my buddy got a set of ST sway bars on his low as hell Sol. No clearance issues at all. Except I find those ST bars repulsively small haha j/k perhaps you mounted it upside down? My buddy and I put his ITR rear bar on his EG and I put it in upside down. He mentioned his bar was hitting the control arms, so I looked under it for a second and realized my mistake. haha he's much happier now, but the car was way stiffer when the sway bar rested on the control arms I don't even wanna think about the stress that was putting on the mounting points.

sam and ryan hook where the ones who informed me of the ef lca's working

although it would technically be easier for me to weld a beefy attachment on the stock lca where the sway bar attached... plus as a bonus i wouldn't have to wait to find another set of lca's

oh, and HAPPY, if you wanna talk to my buddy about his Sol ST bars, go to hondavision.com and look for a guy bragging about his new HIDs. He just bought them from me yesterday. His name is something like 1fstsol or something resembling that.
