sway bar compatability and opinion

hello

i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the compatibility of swaybars between honda civics...

i have a '99 civic si without a stock factory rear swaybar and am thinking of putting one on (someone suggested type-r...someone else suggested integra)...

...what fits?... and which is better?

is it a direct bolt-on or is modification required?...

also if anyone has any pro or cons that would be great...

thanks much!

Type R sway bar with a beaks kit works well. A few guys here have them.

I have a 1998 LX 4 door with a 2000 Civic SiR rear bar... I also got a GSR bar as a spare if you wanna buy it.

Are you sure your Si doesn't have a rear bar? I thought it was standard on the Si model. Anyways, I would recommend an ITR sway bar with the Beaks mounting kit. I have it, and I love it. If you need a Beaks kit, lemme know.

Yup, the 1.6 EL has both a front and rear sway bar.
