Swapping manifold/header on D16 motor

Any advice on swapping my stock header on my '96 EK Hatch for a performance header?

The cat is attached to the manifold and do I have to put on a convertor if I swap headers? Or is there a second cat that I can keep and just bolt on the headers?

i just threw an SI header on my car with a 2 inch flexpipe and 2 inch highflow cat... the flex welds to the header, the cat welds to the flex... the cat welds to a nice 2.25 inch cat back lol... the SI header has a weirdo colector that i just cut off... then you need to extend your secondary o2 sensor wires and run that under the car.. the primary wire will drop through the intake and land right where the O2 sensor goes...

most headers in the EG year are fricking rusty and clogged up. And they only have one collector pipe so ya they make a big difference...Thats how Honda ups their HP in later year models...Still holds true today at Honda/Acura...Simple mods = more air = more powa

do the flanges on the stock cat not line up on the new header, i didnt have that problem on my civic. i upgraded the header like a month before getting a high flow cat, i didnt notice any performance difference, but my exhaust did get a little more anoying sounding.
