swapping enignes need help

ok, so i have a 99 civic dx d16y7 and it blew so im putting in another one, i already got the enigne out and all, but i need the tranny from the old one on the new one, one problem tho, the engine is seized so i cant turn it over so i can get all the bolts outta the clutch part. theres the torque bits that all have to come out and you need to be able to turn the engine to get at all of them. anyone have any ideas how to get the tranny off??????

what torque bits????

huh

Those are 12 pt 10mm that hold the pressure plate up.. and you don't need to turn the engine over to remove them....

Undo the tranny housing bolts and the tranny should just pop off the Engine.
Then since you have the Tranny off, the clutch and pressure plate are exposed on the flywheel
No need to have the engine turn over

What size of ratchet are you using? 1/2 Drive?

As a matter of fact, if the engine is seized, and cannot turn over, then you don't need to hold (lock) the flywheel from turning to remove the pressure plate, clutch disk and flywheel off the engine. No torx bolts on stock Hondas Civics for Press. Pl. and flywheel.

You dont need to turn the engine over to remove the pressure plate and flywheel PERIOD

Like i already posted
If the enigne is already pulled
Spin the Housing bolts out
Pry the transmission off the Engine. And everything you need is exposed!
