Swaping h22

Okay, so i decided and made up my mind to swap in a h22.

How much would you think it would cost all together for a decent h22swap and auto to man.... :yummy:

Here's the cost break down

complete motor + ecu - $2500 - $3000
mounts $650-$ 900
shifter linkage -$ 150
driveshafts - $150
wire harness - $400
install $ $1000 - $1500

These are some of the major parts , I could think of right now.

should be much cheaper then the like $5000 listed there but then again, who knows. contact guys like teknotik (preludeking), etc.

nice choice, that engine hauls ass and has torque to spare. if the engine ever goes in my el...its H22A baby

$2400 engine, ecu, tranny

What year is your car?

I know of a complete H22A swap forsale for a good price, with mounts, axles for civic, etc.

PM me if interested.

you mean preludeking is "teknotik"???

$2400 is too much for just Engine/Tranny/ECU

Include the prelude mounts and shift linkage then $2400 is a deal.

it really depends how youre putting the motor in. You can do it cheaply and have a decent conversion, or you can do it properly so it is reliable and effective. Proper way would require the following (assuming its going into a civic):

1. custom intake manifold
2. custom driveshafts
3. mounts
4. ideally a bigger fuel pump
5. ideally a chipped p28
6. depending what the application is a jumper harness

it will cost you roughly $6000 start to finish

then again you can do it using stock manifold and inherently a cheaper installation process for like $4000 start to finish. i wouldnt recommend it if your putting it in a daily driver and need reliability. parts will start to go, notably driveshafts. LSD is important for this application for which ever way you decided to go. really depends what you want, need, can afford.

you can get ****/old h22a's that burn/leak oil for 2Gs. something with low clicks complete will cost you more like $2500-3500.
