swap help..confused as hell from searching

ok heres my situation (yes i searched my *** off):

i'm going to get a EG sedan, or an EG hatch

one of the 1st things i will do is swap sumthing in there

i was leaning towards the b20Z but i cant seem to find one

i'm not intrested in turbo, i just want sumthing thats fun to drive, and that can get me to speeds of about 140 faster than my integra (b18b) i know the b18b and the b20 are almost the same but considering the EG sedan is lighter than my integra sedan, i assum i would have better results

i'm not looking to street race or even take it to the track, i just need a decent daily driver thats peppy, and relitively good on gas.

thx guys

a b20 or b18b should be fine for what you want. They have good low end so it's fine for daily driving.

IMO b20 w/gsr tranny. B20's are nice b/c you can still use 87 octane gas and have lots of torque.

I would say from my research a B18b with the trans from a B16(not sure of the trans code) but the B16 trans is geared lower and that combined with the B18b in a lighter car like a 5th gen hb would be well faster then a stock teg.

Id say B18b or B20b/z with GSR tranny aswell, will both cost pretty much the same amount so whichever you find cheapest and in best condition is the one i would go with.

From my experiences, for a daily driver, a gsr tranny is a better choice IMO. The gears are slightly longer, not long enough to make the car noticeably slower but long enough to keep the engine at decent rpms while cruising (especially on the highway).
1st gear with a b16 tranny is a write off on a b20.

thats not that bad, and then if i want i can build it, and put a vtec head on it, it has potential if i change my mind about what exactly i want out of my motor.
