Swap help

Guys need your help once more.

My buddy has a 6th gen coupe. He's doing a D16 to B16 swap. Question is about the motor mounts. Can someone confirm that they are different? Do we need the mounts that are specific for the B16?

I believe to swap a B series motor in an EK, just use EK SIR mounts.

Call Altech (an affiliate of TCC) to make sure.

EK SIR front chassis = all other EK front chassis
EK SIR has B16A so therefore the mount on SIR that holds that particular B series motor will fit on other EK as well.

Hope this helps

Same Issue.....

I sorta had the same issue. I have a 97 Honda Civic Si(it was automatic). I switched the motor to a B16 & a standard tranny. The front mounts were okay and matched up. The rear tranny mount from the original motor is to short for the new motor.

Therefore I required a rear tranny mount from an 96 - 00 Civic SIR to complete the swap properly.
