I think you are talking about the Yonaka coilovers:

seen here: http://www.teknotik.com/product_sect...rform.php?id=1

There are several members on here riding on them.

yea those are the ones! thanks! is there a warranty with them? and how do people like them?

I currently have the Yonaka coilovers in my car. They're perfect for a daily driver car. They're not too bumpy but bumpy enough so that you can still feel the texture of the road.

When I was looking for coilovers I wanted something height adjustable and something under $1000(I was tight on money at the time). The Yonaka coilovers met those requirements.

I don't have my car slammed to the ground but I think the spec says you can lower your car as much as 4 inches.

Spring rates are as follows:
Front springs: 12kg / 180mm
Rear springs: 6kg / 200mm

thanks guys, i saw the omni's at optionjdm for $899, i presume its their basic coils but the springs and shocks look stronger and made better!

imported_alwaysoverkill 03-Mar-2006 06:07 PM

I'd go Omni over Yanaka. Omni is 10K/8K for their street rate...but dumped, that may get alittle bouncy with pretty much any coilover. If your slammed 3" or more, not many shocks that can handle that...even the shocks in full coilovers.

Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. $1000 is a reasonable budget, but for alittle more you get more options too. I can't comment on slammed as I never had or will be slammed, but i've read many people saying bouncy as the shocks just can't keep up with such limited travel.

nothing against Teknotik or Yanaka, but their products seem very low end for people who are on severely limited budget. For example, seats are not FIA approved and are simply knock offs...these coilovers also seem entry-level basic design without any realworld proof (racing, etc) to back them up. Again, nothing against Teknotik, but i'd research more into coilovers then
Yanaka or Omni, there are other options out there.
