My budgets*** is $1000. I was thinking tokico blues with neuspeeds or h&R. but then If im gonna spend a G on springs/shock combo i'd rather pick up coilovers.

I would go for dampen adjustment setup, just so you can up the adjustment on track. 10/8 is decent.

Who actually adjusts dampening on a regular basis??

If your going non-adjustable omni/PIC same **** different pile.

I can get Omni for a smashing deal as a paid member...sooooo

Anyway I run Tein 8/4 setup on my lude 16 way adjustable, and I only adjusted dampening and height until it was exact to my specification and liking.

Well that's the thing... with adjustable shocks you actually have the option to tune it to the way you like it from the get-go.

True...but mine is a street set-up for some comfort and some stiffness...my serious track set-up (where still adjustable for different courses) would be neither one of the suspensions he's talking about. So really does it matter what he buys for track?? He was only stating non-adjustable anyway.

What kind of tracking is he planning on doing? You guys answer these questions, like the difference in those two suspensions is going to make a huge difference in his performance on track.

For me, I use 1 or 2 for street and 5 for track, that's it. Essentially, you only need "soft" and "hard".

Like professional Moton coilovers, 2 settings, only 1600 bucks for each shock.

Height/dempening adjustable coilover is what is useful for track, but that is not always the case. A very well made shock (i.e. Knoi Yellow) with proper spring rates will perform just as well. A combo type of coilover (made by the same brand, like Omni or PIC for instance) doesn't necessary mean it is the best solution, because if you just want height adjustment, then there are other alternatives for sure.

Coilover (essentially, is coil spring over shock) is sorta useless for track because condition and driving style changes, and your shock components should be able to tailor to these situations. If you wish to track a few times a year, get adjustable coilover, and I would stress on dempening over height, because dempening adjustable almost always come with height adjustment, but not always the vice versa.

Daily driver? I would just put lowering springs on shocks, be it OEM or aftermarket.

If you just want the looks, it can be done with cheapest alternative. Slight increase of performance will need a few more dollars. You just need to draw the line of how you want your car to drive/feel.

It is hard to define "good handling" and a very nice suspension setup will almost always not be associated with "comfortable ride", bearable is the expression.

If you really want good handling, I would start with a set of nice summer tires. Without tires, your car can't handle at all, no matter how much money you spend on suspensions.
