Suspension noises

Is it unusual to hear a slight knocking sound from your rear suspension when going slower than 60KM/h over bumps. I dunno how to describe it but its like a rattling/knocking noise. If anyone at the meet wed. could check it out for me i would really appreciate it. The car rides fine it just seems like since there is nothing in the trunk the suspnesion doesnt go up and down or something.

hmmmm i had coil overs before and when i would go over bumps the suspension would extend farther than the spring would and the sound would be the spring re seating itself!!!!!

Well its a full progress coilover setup so i dont think its the spring reseating itself. I dunno what it is but its getting annoying. The car handles amazing but the noise kills it.

Check the trailing arm bushings. I know mine are shot and my car does the same thing.

one thing i did notice is the bolts that came with the progress kit were a tiny bit smaller than the regular honda lca bolts. smaller as in diameter. Could that be whats causing the noise eventhough its a very small difference?

im thinking that may be it. Maybe i should swap in some honda LCA bolts and see if that fixes it?

that would not work since the nut is welded onto the shock tower and if the bolt is smaller the nut most likely will be too

I bet I could find a bolt that fits up my nose tooo but that doesn't mean I ut a bolt there....

seriously chris jack up the rear half of the car take off the tires and have a look see... see if you can see anything that you can move by hand ... but just be a different blown bushing

Well the noise comes from both sides so im thinking its the bolt since there is one on each side. Ill get some people to listen to it on wednesday and see what the consensus is.

simple if the bushing looks all ripped up then it's worn out...
