Suspension Install

Hi everyone,

I have a set of shocks and springs and I'm looking for somewhere to have it installed. Are there any recommended shops or people who I could go to for a good price? I wanted to install them myself but I couldn't get a spring compressor. Thanks.

I went to 2 CTs already and they don't have a compressor. Both gave me the reason they don't offer it anymore (the compressor I mean) because the threads get stripped. I will try other CTs but the guys there said the compressor is not part of the 'loan a tool' program anymore. Not sure if he was giving me BS.

the spring compresor from CT is ****, i used it to install my coilovers and it was a hassle. I would recommend going to one of our affiliates or pm "buddah" about getting them installed.

dude, just put each one in the rear mount in the back of the car, get a jack under the spring, jack it up, take off top hat nut, lower jack down slowly, voila, spring is undone...

Ya, and if the lower part of the spring/shock slips off the jack, run away cause there will be a shock flying at your head!!! That's soooo dangerous man...you trying to kill him??? I'm sure with your knowledge, it can be done (at least you know what to expect if things go really bad) but, to tell someone who doesn't know or how to being taking it off is like telling him to walk in front of a moving train and say let it hit you..it might kill you but, it might not. LOL.

I got your PM. Sent one back at you.

Cheers,
Buddah.

your right man... after reading the post in chit chat about "why is water cold" I have come to the conclusion that not everyone has the basic common sense anymore...

Only use my method if you have confidence with what your doing lol... otherwise take it to someone who knows what there doing.

Hey guys thanks for the suggestions! I'm one of those DIY kinda guys so I'm still searchin for a compressor. A friend of a friend of a friend... blah blah knows someone who has a compressor. If I can get one, that's cool otherwise I will contact you guys for the install.

I'm gonna hold off on that compressing trick. Baby steps method is probably the safe bet. Why is water cold?

Thanks again guys.
