mike they make neuspeed springs for your car... you want to know if the neuspeed race springs (55.20.74) from a 98 civic Si will fit your car??

i was led to believe that all civic suspensions from 88-2000 where the same... the only difference between springs would be spring rates for various car??

gatherer, yes and no, coilovers that are for 88-2000, are better off going into a 92+ civic, ever wonder why a crx/civic prior to 92 doesnt lower as much as the 92 and above....get lowering springs that are suitable to the car, ie : neuspeed, skunk, eibach

ok I'll play dumb here..... HUH?

when I said all springs from 88 to 2000 are swappable I meant it.

ok you hvae a 92 it lowers a certain amount with a coilover setup, but that same on a 88 CRX won't drop it that far.

why?

SPRING RATES!!!!

it's that simple the CRX is a lighter car so there is less wieght to force the compression of the coilover.

same thing would happen if you put 96 springs on a 88 wouldn't drop as far because of the reduced wieght.

the 92 would also sit lower then a 88 crx using lower springs made for a 88 crx.

anyways I do know what I'm talking about the dude asked if the springs would fit and the answer is yes they would any springs from 88 to 2000 will fit.

thats exactly what i was saying to mike last night.... those 98 springs wouldn't lower his car as much as ones deisgned for the crx cause the 98 springs will have a higher spring rate...

at the same time when i swap in a b series and my front end goes even lower... i could get like integra front race springs which would have a higher spring rate for the heavier car.... and that would keep my front end roughly where it is now
