Susp. Installation Tips/Cautions?

Just picked up a new set up for my EK

Tokico 5 Way Adj. Gas Shocks (Illumina Series)
w/
Skunk2 Lowering Springs (2.5'' Drop)

They are already paired together and i know theres already a write up courtesy of mr Charles (Aka Nova_dust).

But im wondering if theres anything i should watch out for or be carefull of when swapping in the new setup?

Or if anyone wants to help on saturday haha jk...

LMK your thoughts/suggestions

if you havent already grab a set of lower control arm bolts in case you have issues with them being seized at the shock to LCA point. Other than that just do one side at a time and make sure to torque all the bolts/nuts properly.

95% chance your rear lca bolts will be seized.

They got these stupid splines on them that love to collect rust. This is why i never do springs/shock installs.. i hate it.

Perosnally what I would do.. is go to a exhaust shop with new bushings from honda.. tell them to get the bolt out and give them the new bushing and possibly a new lca bolt.. shouldnt cost more than 20-40$ and can save you a **** load or time.

Well i know for sure one side lca bolt shouldnt be siezed Jay and I had it off maybe month and a half ago. The car has never been driven in the winter... and chris i know what splines your talking about those bolts are ghey.

What would be the best method at getting at the top mounts of the rear shocks... Through the speaker well?

if you have a hatch you will need to remove the speakers to get to the shock upper mounting bolts.
If the LCA/shock bolts come out easy then a suspension swap is gravy and can easily be done in 2 hours. Especially if you already have the spring assembled on the shock and ready to go.
Remember to use lots of anti-seize.

Invest is a camber kit, you need it and its worth it in the long run.

change the bushing in the top hat, i dont know how much trouble you will have getting the new bushing in... you might need a press. we can torch the other ****er out of there... but i am pretty sure it just got blown out anyway...
