sudden loss of power

today in the evening i was driving enthusiastically making my way thru 3rd gear when i had a violent backfire/misfire(?) and a sudden loss of power.... my car is now sputtering like a go-kart and is very slow....
it feels almost as if one or more cylinders is not firing...
i also smell fuel.....
i checked my tailpipe and there is soot in it, and considering i just put in new piping and muffler on tuesday the soot is fresh..

WHAT'S GOING ON???? HELP!!!!!

(for details on the related problems i had since my swap check my other thread "..recent b16b swap..")

sounds like u lost spark? maybe your distributer? check your wires/plugs/distributer

Honestly.. you won't fix it, my first recommendation would take it to someone who can.

But if you insist.. remove every spark plug wire untill you find the dead cylinder. Ground the wire to hear if theres spark. If there is no spark or weak spark obviously something is at fault.

If there is spark take a stethoscope and listen to the injector to hear if its firing

check for a code aswell..... and you can use a screwdriver to check the injectors.. not many people have a stethoscope lol.
