Strut Bars?
Hey guys im planning on getting a strut bar, how much, what type, and any tips on installation?
also does it really improve performace turning etc??? |
I would suggest an OEM SiR, GSR or even a Type-R. Direct bolt on, cheap and they are one piece so they don't flex as much.
If you don't have any other suspension mods, they you probably won't even notice an improvement with just the strut bar. |
ya no suspension mods its all stock, what exactly do they do anyways

Personally I'd spend the money elsewhere and buy strut bars later. A full tune-up, new tires, brake pads, etc. if your car is older and has higher k's. Springs and struts would be a better suspension mod then strut bars. |
passwordjdm, sir/gsr, and neuspeed bars are some of the best solid ones i've seen. you want a bar with no pivot joints because they're not nearly as effective.

I got myself a front and rear strut bar, havent install them yet though.
I already have a rear lower tie bar, LOOKS good. My car is lowered .. I "think" i feel a bit of difference with the rear lower .. but i'm not sure, i hope adding two more struts will make it even better! |
I believe that strut bars are more for fine tuning your car (correcting oversteer or understeer) after you have installed the more major suspension components. The more major components being performance shocks and springs.
