stock si exhaust or 2.5" mandrel bent?

stock si exhaust or 2.5" mandrel bent?

I am getting a swap to a usdm b16a2 this weekend and for now i am going to have a short ram, with a type-r cat and stock si piping as well as a 3" muffler...

now i have the option (well, i am a going to do this about 2 weeks after) to go with short ram and type-r cat and the same muffler but i would be running 2.5" mandrel bent piping....

both set-ups will be running probably dc-sports headers...

i would assume if i stick with the si piping i should go with 4-1 headers for the top end and if i go with the 2.5" mandrel pipe then i should go with 4-2-1 headers to pick up some lost mid-range... am i correct in assuming this?

what would flow best and get me optimal performance out of the sir motor?

i'd say ditch the DC header idea, go 2.5" exhaust, get a 4-2-1 w/2.5" collector. I've found that a good 4-2-1 flows just as good up top as a 4-1.

what about a full cold air instead of a short ram, what are you opinions on flow with the 2.5" exhaust and the 4-2-1 header...

is the dc sports 4-2-1 header good?

i don't like DC headers, i had one rot out in under a year. Their design isn't the best either.
I personally use a vibrant j-spec 4-2-1 w/2.5" collector and 2.5" exhaust on my built b16.
