i have custom CAI, and catback exhaust..
just wondering what other minor mods i can do to give the car a little pep... engine runs pretty strong, i bet a 90 dx, with a 95 SI... woo woo.. and can keep up with the new cav ectoc.. dont believe me come race me... but ya

i just want minor cheap mods.. cuz i have a engine swap coming in summer of next year.. so i just want to make this one a little more peppy...

any info will help..

neither will do much, if anything at all... The grounding mod serves another purpose other than power... and the resistor thing, well dont have any high expectations, ive tryed it allong with a few other people, very minimal results if any...

You could spray this engine with a 50 shot and have fun trying to blow it up, then bolt it onto the new engine next summer, but do the new engine properly with fuel and timing upgrades and bump it up to a 75 shot...

I dont know if you actually see gains from just doing a fuel system upgrade, but if you do buy a B&M FPR it can be used on the new engine aswell, so its not a waste of money... Aswell as an upgraded fuel pump...But this would be more of an upgrade with the new swap in mind... I dont think you will be able squeeze more power out of this engine with fuel upgrades... maybe somone can shed some light on this cuz ive been thinking about it also...

You did say you have intake exhaust upgrades, so maybey a few more psi at the rail might pep it up abit... It would be nice if somone that has done this could share their results, cuz id like to know in theory it should work, but there are all the variables, like needing to upgrade the ignition, manifold, headwork ect. ect.

do a "mini-me" swap... cheap and you can do it yourself

bumps your stock 102hp to like 127hp if you do it right...

also adds VTec to your SOHC

and it can cost you around 500 if you know what ur doing and where to get parts...

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=635580 <---- check that out... best write up u will find on the mini-me

good luck

If you are going to swap next year, why not save the money and use it towards the project next year? Plus it is winter, isn't it the time of the year where people need to slow down instead of going fast?

If you really want to spend money, spend money on bars.

I see. Knowledge is the key to run a good car and I am sure your father has plenty of it. Nothing beats to work on a project car in a father/son tag team. Whether you keep your Civic or going to purchase another vehicle, I wish you good luck.

But regardless, drive safe in winter.
