sticky throttle question

sticky throttle question
after cruzing or even jsut stop and go driving, my car stays reving at 2000, but if i tap the gas it'll drop to 1000, but even if i put in gear it goes back up to 2000?
any ideas?

sounds like a sticky throttle plate ... time to clean the throttle body out

did you check the linkage under the hood? maybe give it shot of WD40...

while it may be those, it could be other things as well. try those 1st since they are free and easy to do and if it doesn't work, post again
