Question Sticky Throttle body...

Hey.
Just wanted to know if any one has had a similar problem. Tried searching this forum, but nada.

My throttle body seems to be sticking open slightly, 2500-3000 rpm, but it only seems to happen at night when the air is cooler. when it is warm out in the day I have no problem. I have tried using TB cleaner and it works for a day or two , then starts again.

I would like to hear any suggestions anyone has, short of replacing. Whether it may need disassembling to clean or what.
It's not the cable, I checked.

try adjusting the screw that determines the closed position of the butterfly valve. it should be on the cable side of the tb.

mine was getting stuck too. the problem was that the throttle plate was slightly warped (don't ask how). take the throttle body off and remove the throttle plate. finely sand the edges (very finely). while the throttle body is off, clean the hell out of it with throttle body cleaner. make sure to get the cleaner all over including the exterior spring (most cleaners are made to lubricate as well so u wont have to lube or grease it which attracts dirt and in turn causes it to jam up again)

What tells you its sticking?? Does it seem to be sputtering during fast idle?

^^Not fast idle, engine is completely warm. Only happens when air is cooler at night. When I tap the throttle, the plate sticks open holding the rpms @ 2500-3000. I can manually push the plate closed. Or if I rev it, let the throttle snap off my finger providing enough spring action to close it.
Gunna try cleaning it thoroughly with a brush to see if that holds.
