It seems too me that i have a problem with my civic now...The problem is that when trying to start the car it doesn't want to start. I can turn the engine over but than it will start it but idel for 1-3 seconds and than shut down,the only way to get away from that proble is to give it alot of gas and start it.

But what mite be the problem..Anyone had this problem before?

i say first off check the plugs, wires, and check your fuel, and check for any vacuum leaks

sounds like it needs new full tune up:

cap rotor
wires plugs (correct gap)
oil/filter
and get your timing readjusted (probobly needs to be adjusted)
vacuum leaks wont' really effect that stuff so much as idle and cruise

treat her right and she will treat you right...freshin her up with a nice full tune up

it's nearly impossible to tell from what you've given us.

think of it as a murder, and you're trying to find the perp. what you've told us up to this point is "someone's been killed!" but you didn't tell us where, who, or how?

Last time you changed the fuel filter was?

Do you have a FPR?

If so what does it read?

Is you fuel pump original?

I agree it's easy to suspect the fuel system... but I don't wanna jump to any conclusions. It sure sounds like a bad pump.
