stainless steel headers
Hey all,
Is there any way to polish stainless steel headers to look new again after a couple months of heat discolouration? They look good when they turn purple but now they are on their way to looking brown and don't look nice anymore. I tried to do a search and could not find anything on this topic. Any ideas would be nice. Thanks |
there are polishing products for stainless, but don't bother, they will just discolour again.

keep them clean with windex on a regular basis, and they should keep that gold/purple color. right now, I recommend a polishing compound or jewlers rouge.

What about CLR??

haha CLR removes calcium, lime, and rust as the name suggests. stainless headers don't rust, they discolor.
