stainless steel headers

Hey all,

Is there any way to polish stainless steel headers to look new again after a couple months of heat discolouration? They look good when they turn purple but now they are on their way to looking brown and don't look nice anymore. I tried to do a search and could not find anything on this topic. Any ideas would be nice.

Thanks

there are polishing products for stainless, but don't bother, they will just discolour again.

keep them clean with windex on a regular basis, and they should keep that gold/purple color. right now, I recommend a polishing compound or jewlers rouge.

What about CLR??

haha CLR removes calcium, lime, and rust as the name suggests. stainless headers don't rust, they discolor.

hahahahha
Windex removes smears and smudges from windows and stainless steal headers are not made of glass.
