SRS light on
 
HEy guys,
I have a 98 honda civic CX hatchback, My SRS light stays on the whole time, after the car has started , and under normal circumstances its suppose to turn off after ignition. Any idea on what the problem is and if there is a fix. I was just thinking of taking it to the dealership cause i dont like tampering with SRS systems, but i was thinking maybe its just a compter malfuntion and if there is a fix ?

You have an srs trouble code. You should get it properly diagnosed.

reset your srs, and if it comes back.. then there is a problem somewhere
did you mod ur steering wheel?

Could be a problem anywhere from the crash sensor, wiring, airbag to seatbelt or seatbelt switch...

Recommend scan for codes and recheck.
Customer declined scan, not responsible for airbag non-deployment during collision. ;)
