srs light is on

Did u just do emissions? If u did that will turn it on but it will go off shortly after u drive it for a while. It could be sensor problems to your ABS. To turn it off the best thing is to go to the autoshop and tell them to hook it up to the scanner. They will tell u what code it is and what is wrong.

there is a reason the light is on...what kinda practice is that to "band aid" the problem...as it is now with the SRS light being on there is a good chance that your airbags will not deploy/properly in an accident...if u are willing to chance it then ignore it and pull the bulb or if u care for your and other occupants in your car get it checked out

There could be either a problem with a sensor, or the srs unit. The only way to check it is with a scanner. A more likely cause is a voltage spike in the vehicle. If it was extremly cold and the starter motor takes alot of amperage to start, that could cause a voltage spike in the system. See what the srs unit does, is checks out the system everytime you start the car, that is why the light comes on when you turn the ignition on, and if it senses a problem with voltage it will disable it trying not to damage any key components that cant handle the voltage. I have run into that more often then not. The only honda that has problems with the srs unit is oddesey. Another way of error is by boosting the car if your batt is low. It will almost always come on if you boost it with bad cables. Draws too much amperage and doesnt have enough voltage to start up the srs unit then triggers the light. Chances are, the srs wont work till the problem is checked

have you tried resetting it?
Erasing the DTC memory
1)turn ignition switch off
2)connect the scs service connector to the MES connector. Do not use a jumper wire
3)turn igition switch to on
4)The SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds, and then go off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on
5)The SRS indicator will come on again. Reconnect the SCS service conector to the MES connectoer within 4 seconds after the light comes on.
6)When the SRS indicator light goes off, remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds.
7)The SRS indicator light will blink 2 times indicating that the memory has been errased
8)turn the ignition switch to off and wait for 10 seconds.
use a paperclip instead of the SCS service connector, and the MES connecter sould be near the fuse panel inside the car
