SRI filters ???????/
do the k&n filters make a differeence? i think its time for me to change my sri filter.. how often should i tbe done? is it worth it to spend like 80- for a k&n filter or just go buy a generic one again and put it on..right now i have a generic one that came with teh intake

well, the generic ones are usually paper filters which you can't wash because they get ruined when you do. i got one from performance improvements... its a cotton fibre filter... $35... even came with oil spray to lube the filter... impressive and it works perfect... and it even has the washing and cleaning instructions in the package... better than $70 for a new one.
and mine had a million-mile warranty on it as well. it even has a graph on the back showing flow difference in cfms... it does show that k&n does outperform it (modest, i like that...), but not by too much... and unless its a boosted application, but my motor only needs so much air anyway.
