Sqweek

when i switch gears as i'm letting go of the clutch sometimes i hear a sqweeking noise.. not all the time.. but i hear it and i'm trying to figure it out... is it possible to be my throw out bearing?
only thing is it has just been replaced.. why would this happen... i cna' thtink of anyhting else that may sqweek.. and when its really cold i noticed i can sometimes hear it just a bit on idle... def coming from the tranny area... any ideas?

could it be just the temperature.. or should i be ready to take out the tranny.................. AGAIN

Do a search for throw out bearing. It probably just needs some lube. Mine gets kinda squeaky every few months.

when mine was making noises, it was my slave cylinder, just had to lube it up and it was all good, not sure if this applies to your tranny or not though

if its a cable tranny in a 88-91 civic i had the same problem it turned out to be the accual clutch pedel when i depressed it it would make a squeak but the all i did was lube the clutch cable and all the pivot points on the clutch peddle assembly and it went away

The squeeky clutch pedal is a typical thing on honda's plenty of cable driven civics including my own make this noise. Likely the only reason you just started having the problem now is because your clutch cable is new so it just starting to make the noise now.

Slave cylinder is what I meant to say. It's right on the front of the tranny and really easy to lube if it's the cause.

no butcher job... a friend/mechanic told me that since i have a new clutch.. its all broken in.. and that its getting to a point where theres metal.. which is a bit after the actual break in of it or sum crap and it should go away.. hopefully
