hey guys so my balljoint is messed again last year i replaced the right side because it was creaking and eventually seperated and ripped the axle out of the tranny now its happening on the left side the squeeking happens when i turn my wheel so all i need to fix this is a lower balljoint?

who knows? take it to a mechanic and find out. I am pretty sure that you learned your lesson last time.
You shouldn't ignore the noises your car makes, because its usually an indication that something is wrong.

ye but i was gonna go and buy the parts now at honda so i can have them ready for him in the morning is there any test i can do to figure out if its lower or upper ??? i tried pulling on them and there both pretty stiff no play in them

zeeman 23-Nov-2005 09:13 PM

is the boot on either upper or lower ripped? Check the tie rod, see if it has any play in it or if its boot is ripped.

ok well my tie rod dust boot is ripped could that be causing it because all of my balljoints look normal to me they are not torn or anything?

Looking at the ball joint isn't enough. You have to check for play..

I agree, and sometimes when they're worn out they don't look like anything is wrong.
