Hey.

I've been noticing some squeeking coming from my brakes, however, it doesn't occur while I'm pressing the brake, but they let off a small squeek when I pull my foot off the brake.

So when the brakes are released, they let off a little squeek. That's the best way I know how to describe it. Any ideas on what's causing this?

Sounds like you just need to grease your sliders & put some brake-quiet on the pads.

Thanks for the info, I did some searching around the site to get some suggestions on lubricants, etc. Now I'll head to my Helms manual and give it a go.

just a suggestion..if you got rear drums, check those, sounds like they need a service. put some anti seize on the contact points behind the shoes and that should fix your prob

you might be on the squeeler .. on the pads .. which means they are low

Its getting colder now... and some brakes tend to squeel when the brakes are cold... you'll notice thtey stop squeeling when you drive for a bit. If you're brakes are fine, then you have nothing worry about. I have performance brakes on my car and they squeel like mad in the beginning, but as i use them and they warm up, they quiet down.
