sometimes when i drive i hear a squeeky noise coming from the engine bay... the noise comes and goes... when it comes its only for like 2-3 seconds and then its gone for about another 2min or so... its quite random but the noise itself only last for a couple seconds..... sounds kinda like something is lose or something like that...

does anyone know what this could be???

One of the belts may be slipping (a/c, alt, p/s). Mine does it too. I recently had my timing belt changed and I think one of the belt tensioners is loose. If that's all it is, it's nothing major. Your belts could also be worn out which is causing the noise.

lower ball joint will give a squeek/grown...is it belt noise slipping..if nto then probobly ball joint...does it happen with going over bump slowly etc..?

could be alt bearings on their last legs...mine makes cricket type noises randomly

i can hear it sometimes too when the car is stoped and just running so it has to be in the engine bay.....i don't have ac so that cuts that one off..... my uncle should be down sometime soon so i'll just have him take a look at it.... i doubt its anything serious too but its always nice to make sure my car isn't gonna blow up.

Sounds like its just one of your belts. Put some belt dressing on your belts. See if that takes away the noise.

You can get belt dressing at cdn tire. I think its like $5.99 or somewhere around that price range.
