I'm thinking of buying a set of used H&R Race/Sports...

I need to clarify if they are the Race or Sports... Unfortunatley they both have nearly the identical PN according to the HR website.

The springs I'm looking at are blue in color. Dual stage coils (wider and narrower). 13" tall, and have this on 2 of the coils:

51865-L and 51865-R (im guessing left and right)

The confusion comes from the fact that the (for 96-98)
Race PN = 51865-88
Sport PN = 51865

Can someone tell me if these are indeed the sports? I really want them, but won't be able to ride on the race. Do race even come in blue? or only red?

Ya Sam, the sports are only Blue, and i think the race are red! I hope that helps!..

I just got my friend a set of H&R race springs for his prelude and they are red in color. But i think both the sport and the race are red. Well know for the sure the race springs are red.
I know for eibachs the race is blue and the sports are red

I would say the ones you are looking at are the sports. I have the sports but mine are black.

I believe H&R race springs are red in color... got a set myself just recently...

hmmm, my H&R's were black, they are 1.9 and 1.8 inch drop, not sure if they were called race or not

Don't go by the colour. If they don't have a ".88" or "-88" after the part number prefix, then it's a Sport spring.

i just got my h & r sports, for my 5th gen coupe, but mine are grey.

are you sure you want to buy used springs??? i was advised not to buy used springs because they would have been worked in by that car and not yours, so the actual drop may be different on your car.

i would buy brand new.....ask SW20_MR2 to hook you up with H & R sports....mine arrived in five days....cash deals are better for both parties.....great guy to do business with.
