If you had to list the top 3 springs you would put on your car what would they be? 1. The best and 3. being the least best

Springs:

1) Eibach (can get whatever size you want I've heard)
2) H and R (they know there stuff)
3) Progress (also great springs makes the list)

for coilovers:

1) Tiens
2) Koni
3) Tom motorsport...(yes I included these here why? because of the inchangeability of there springs and the price ....)

well, it might be a bit much to list them in order or preference ... esp since very few ppl have actually TRIED each spring, but here are mine:

H&R
Eibach
Progress

you wouldnt have rather put ground control over the Toms?

Again, what order you put them in will depend on your personal ride preference.

Progressive vs Linear springs and ride quality vs. handling. IMO, ride quality and handling can complement each other, since as a spring compresses, it builds more static energy (resistance to roll), but I personally found Eibach a little too soft initially. Let's just say, I wouldn't use a Pro-Kit with an ITR sway bar :eek: *cough* broken subframe *cough*

My dad's Golf handles like it's velcro'd to the street, and it so comfortable... but it has SOOOO much body roll when I'm cornering I can powder my nose in the pass side mirror :p

well its fair to say that people dont need to be redundant on the top 3 springs...its a pretty well known fact what the top 3 are...but hey if u wanna read H&R, Eibach,Progress for a whole page thats cool

Did it occur to you I'm in the market for purchasing springs and I like to do something called research before I make an investment?

anyways, yes we understand it's a big decision, however... like girls you marry, we can't pick 'em for you :D :thumbup: You gotta "test drive" each and see what suits you :naughty: I don't suggest you violate the springs :p but you should at least try to get a ride in some cars that have various susp.

First thing I ask when I get into a person's car... what springs you runnin?? What shox?

for me, i like the ride, and the drop, so id go H&R, Goldline, Eibach, Suspension techniques...

really in all do respect... the springs play a vital role, wehere as the Shocks play more.

right now, i bought Goldline's and gonna mate it to Tokico Illumina... i got the drop i want, and ill have the harsh firm ride!

good enough for me.

cool..... so can anyone tell me how h&r and kyb agx combo would compare to my stock setup?

I have never experienced a car with any of those springs listed but I've driven one with Neuspeed sport springs on a 2000 SiR and find them almost perfect. The lowering height is good and they are not too soft like you guys say with the Eibachs, but are quite still comfortable. Neuspeed cost lest than Eibachs but a bit more than Tein S Tech which I hear are comfortable as well.

i got Intrax coilovers ... they do the job.

its reallly all personal preference!

as long as you mate them to aftermarket Struts your fine!

H&R Sports w/ KYB-AGX is a good combo which I find to be a fairly comfortable ride, more control than stock and way better cornering with minimum body roll. I like but too bad the KYB's don't like a drop lower than 1.5" which is a shame towards H&R Sports's 1.75" in front and 1.5" in rears.
