Springs?
I'm trying to decide on springs. Both offer around the same drop. So I need to decide between the 2.
Neuspeed Race Springs (2-2.25" drop) -or- Eibach Road Race Springs (2.5" drop) Which to get? |
Whichever you decide on, becareful.. Any time you drop that low you're bound to kill your shocks sooner rather than later.. Maybe not, because you drive an eg hatch and they're pretty light, but still.. I'd save up and pick up a set of shocks at the same time.. The total will run you about 1,000 (new springs and shocks) but it'll we well worth it..
I would still go with the Neuspeed, 2-2.25 is good enough IMO. But if you're going to get the shocks for sure, get the Eibach.. Low looks good on an eg hatch.. :) Shokker |
get eibach
I picked up eibach sportlines, they are listed as a 1.8" drop but its more like 2". the handling characteristics of the car are *MUCH* better, but camber wear is killing me.
basically I've been told that if you drop more than 2" your stock shocks aren't gonna last more than 6 months. so with either set you're gonna have to get shocks and camber adjustment. I'd also consider H&R race, they are slightly more dropped in the front for a more agressive stance. |
anyone got h&r sport on their 6th gen sedan?

When they say 2.25" does that mean it lowers the car that much or your car will be 2.25" off the ground?
|
Means your car will be 2.25" lower than it was with the stock springs (...you'll have 2.25" less space between the upper fender and the top of the top of the wheel). Carefull though, from what I understand, springs will settle a bit after you install them. You may end up with closer to a 2.5" drop in a few months.
