spring rates

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this whole tuner/ performance thing. I got a 93 honda civic CX hatchback back in april and have spent a bunch of money fixing various issues that have come up (think I ironed out all the rough spots created from the guy that didn't even change the oil in engine) anyways I have decided that the suspension should be the first thing to go aftermarket and I was thinking of this setup:

kyb shocks

suspension technique swaybars (front and rear)

ground control sleeves and springs (for corner weighting)

anyways I decided on these after much reading of this board. I have a few unanswered questions still swimming in my head, before I commit money to this.

what spring rate should I go for with the ground controls? I want to take this car to the track but it also has to get me to work everyday (which it's done so far extremely well) and what size sway bar would give me less understeer (it's driving me nuts) your opinions on the setup that I think I'm going to go with would also be welcomed, thanks.

Springs rates I'd say 9k for the Front and 5k for the rear, that's what I have and I drive daily Oh wait, you said you wanted to track too, I'd get 2 sets of springs then I guess, but something above 9k and 5k would be better for track purposes IMO. But make sure your KYB can handle it

with you having a 5th gen, I'd recommend getting the Type R sway bar, it's nice and beefy and not too costly It's 22mm I believe, but you'll want the Beaks mounting kit so you don't rip your rear lower subframe

I was hoping I wouldn't have to change the springs everytime I wanted to go to the track for some autocrossing or solo 2 or whatever. I read a book that suggested stronger rear springs then front to help get rid of the understeer (I hate it I hate it I hate it) what is the opinions of members on this board towards that anyone running stronger springs in the back then in the front?

thanks for your help
