spring question

Hey, I'm looking at getting some new springs for my 93' civic LX (4 door)

Basically looking to eliminate annoying "body roll" without going down too low or putting too much stress on stock shocks (I do alot of driving up North over ****TY terrain)

Opinions?

Well you aren't going to eliminate all body roll with just springs....especially on stock shocks. You need sway bars to HELP eliminate body roll. Even with sway bars there is still body roll. Since you are keeping ur 11 year old stock struts i would suggest a minimal drop. I am personally using the tokico advance handling kit, consisting of tokico illumina's and well matched tokico springs. It dropped my car about 1.75 inches, which is plenty low for my liking. I also have suspension techniques sway bars and both front and rear upper strut tower braces. This makes for excellent ride quality and amazing performance when i feel like tearin up some of the twisties....which is quite often.
Obtaining a desirable suspension set-up is quite expensive but hey you get what you pay for.

thanks for the info zeeman.

I guess I should have said "eliminate as much as possible"
But yea, I'm on a budget... cant really afford to go all out with coils or sways etc...

you want to reduce body roll???? but why it's fun!

anyways to reduce body roll get some shocks.... and then add a sway bar... presto less body roll without sacrificing the soft stock springs

If you don't want a significant drop there's the H&R OE Sport springs (.75") and then there's some Tein Springs that are about the same.

For $500 or so, look for some KYB AGX or Illumina shocks... they should be in that price range loosely. It should vastly improve ride quality all around. Then once you save some more money, get some springs like the OE springs from H&R
