hey guys, i just wanna know if i can use regular 89-91 Si trannie seals in my sohc zc trannie?? The car is a 89 Civic Si, and i need to change the right side trannie seal.

Also to take off the short axle (right side), do i just pry on the axel from the trannie to pop it out?? Then to put back in???

to pop the axle out of the tranny just use a prybar or big flathead screwdriver, stick it between the axle and the tranny and (i find it easiest to) pry towards the (if your doing the passenger side) right side of the car, it will pop out you need to pry it out to disengage the c-clip from the differential. But do not pull on the axle while doing so just support the axle with one hand (or have someone else hold it) and pop it out of the diff, the the alex will slide out with no effort (granted the 32mm axle nut is off and you've cleared it from in between the LCA and shock fork.
Be sure to note the location of the axle seal before removing it, because you need to put the new one in the same place.
When installing the axle make sure its in the differential good, give a little tug on the axle right near the diff to make sure it does't easily come out. You just making sure the c-clip is engaged.
