speedometer help

speedometer help

yo my speedometer is going crazy. its all over guage does not read properly. My friend says its the speedsenser what do you guys think. help please!

yikes, that sounds like it could also be a short in the wiring or somewhere in the cluster, but without actually seeing it, your guess is as good as mine.

On my car (b/c it's cable) the only thing I can check is the actual speedo cable. The screw can come lose and it will make it go crazy. But thinking that you have a 6th gen, I would check the sensor to see if it's properly secure. Or try removing it and cleaning it and putting it back. Then my last option would be is to replace it with an oem fit.
This assuming that you haven't touched or removed your cluster even since the problem aroused.

most likely the wiring going to the sensor....check there first
