speedo not working

ok my speedo cable snapped behind the dash. How hard is it to change?? Or maybe this a good time to replace it with a autometer speedo or sumtin????

Who the hell wears speedo's anymore... Get some nice track pants, you'll love the crotch comfort.

How about finding a cheap *** cluster from the classifieds and swapping it?

I'm not entirely positive these were cable speedos... anyone care to comment?

yes the 88-91 civics have a speedometer cable that runs to the tranny , u need get a new cable and run it through the firewall to the tranny

Its a little bit of a bitch, but its not to bad tho, and don't loose that little clip on the tranny

easiest way to replace is to pull off gauge cluster cover to accesss the cable behind cluster, remove run through firwall and what the guy above said if you lose that clip ah ha you a sucker
