Speedo drops WTF is going on

I have caught my speedometer out of the corner of my eye drop, meaning I’ll be driving at 50, 70,120km (happens sporadically) and then the needle drops down to zero and immediately resumes back to the current speed. Is this a warning of things to come? Can I do anything about this?

It's either the vss, the cluster itself, or the connections inbetween.
If the problem was the VSS or the connection to the vss you would most likely get a check engine light. If you don't have a CEL check the connections to the cluster and the cluster itself.
I had the same problem in my old car (92 civic) it turned out the problem was inside the cluster

VSS can set off a CEL, but doesn't always. check wiring and test VSS
