Speed Sensor Location On A B16?
#5
1st gen B16 (cable tranny) has a cable VSS (cable runs from your VSS or vehicle speed sensor to you guage cluster)
2nd gen B16A (hydro tranny) has an electronic VSS (grey plug).
both located in same area on either tranny on the back side near the fire wall

I believe that it's on the front near the clutch arm...there should be 2 wires (green and black I think) with black butt connectors uncovered, follow them and thats the speed sensor...

Its on the back right corner of the tranny by the mount.
FYI: to uninstall, 10mm bolt off to the right side, (you may bee an extension/universal joint) first unplug the wiring, then it pulls right on out.
Be carefull not to lose the tab that holds it down (if its that style)
