Spark Plugs & ECU

Spark Plugs & ECU
24 pages of search results is a lot to look through so after the first 10 im just gunna ask..
First
I just bought 4 Iridium spark plugs from CT, according to the book they are the ones for my car... Do I need to gap them even tho they are new and supposedly for my car?
I got out my gapping tool and the gap is smaller then what my manual says it should be... so is this normal or should i re-gap all the new plugs?
Second
This field is all new to me so bear with me as I learn...
I want to hook my laptop up to my car.. I'm pretty sure I can I just obvisouly need the right cable and software.
I know computers inside and out, so what software would I need? where might I find the correct cable? with that software what would I be able to do?
I'm not expecting fancy pie charts or anyhting like on F&F, just some low brow numbers and such... I don't plan on changing anything, I just want to learn.
Anyone out there with the knowledge thats willing to explain would be greatly appreciated

iridium plugs = garbage return them and get copper NGK plugs!! Get the ones from the dealer even...
and no you don't gap iridium plugs should you choose to use them
as for your laptop, you need scantool.net
and besides, you can only READ sensor values, you can't change ANYTHING on a Honda computer w/o chipping it or using Hondata with Stage 4 options, esp so on an OBD2 car like yours. So yeah... you can read the ECU using scantool.net - they provide software, hardware, and cables.

I already have a Willem too
I dunno about the RTP stuff yet man, I'm gonna run my Hondata for a while, and then after I'll switch to CROME once I have it all tuned up. My Hondata already has datalogging, and I think it's got programming abilities too, I'm not sure. Besides, I use OBD1.
I used to be on the phorum software too haha
been a while since I visited there actually.

Prone to pre-ignition? Waste of money? What?
Why reply if you give half an answer?
