be more specific

are they unthreaded but won't come out of the spark plug wells? If so, jab them with the plug wire and pull them out.

if they are half-*** threaded and wont tighten nor loosen, then you have bigger problems... like cross threading or something.

how about trying penetrateing lube maybe :shuggs: unless its a problem dripping into the cylenders... its oil... should burn off...

anyone think it would cause engine damage if the lube dripped in??

huh...well any good plug socket will have a rubber insert to grab onto the top so it will pull out of the head...seems to me like you probobly just need to find away to grab it and pull it...??? I see no way that you could cross thread...I have removed a coupel 100 plugs in my day and never had an issue...?? jsut take the plug wire and stuf in back on the plug and try to fish it out.....or tow it to a shop...dont' drive it or turn it over..cause there might be metal shaving's or somethign if you messed the threads....

my plug socket does have the rubber insert.
im almost certain that its crossthreaded though, cause i remember at a point that it seemed to get tighter then feel like its was loosening agian.
and i already tried to fish it out with the plug wire, didn't work

i think its just corrosion binding the threads, if penetrateing lube wont hurt the engine give it a try

Lube won't hurt the engine, it will just burn it off, for sure. But the thing is, it seems very likely that its not coming out it it turns in both directions and doesn't move up or down. I have had this happen and the only solution to that one is to remove the head, knock out the plug and then heli-coil it (new insert with threads).
pm me if you need to.

I would guess cross threaded...I've seen a few people cross thread em in my days...happens when people start threading the plug in with the socket/ratchet rather than by hand...hopefully thats not the case for you though

but if it wont tighten nor loosen thats what its sounding like...unless some how you broke the hex portion on the plug and now it just spins freely

thanks everyone for your input, the problem has been solved with the help of StreetWyze. i stopped by his shop cause he was real close to let him take a look. seemed the plug just wasn't catching the thread. came out no problem, new ones went in no problem!

once again thanks steven for your help!
