Sohc Zc Help !
 

i have just installed a 89 jdm sohc nonvtec zc into my 91 civic hatch. everything is done except for the wiring. i have a OBD0 ecu and 91 si wiring harness.

im just wondering if anyone knows of any helpful weblinks that could help me out with the wiring. maybe some diagrams or charts. i need to get as much info on my engine as possible.

why dont u just use the stock si computer it should still run the engine fine maybe a lil rich if im not mistaken

im just using the si engine bay wiring harness, but i am missing the injector resistor box that is supposed to be attatched to the harness.

so get the resistor box and plug it into the harness and get the pm6 ecu

umm.. ok im confused. is your car an si or not? if so you shouldnt need anything it should plug right in. if you need more help pm me. i just did a sohc zc swap in my dx but i wired it for mpfi a year ago.

edit reading owns me.. plug in that si harness. get a resitor box. and read honda tech for the love of god.

i have a 91 cx, i bought a full complete wiring harness out of a 91 si along with the ecu. i bought an injector resistor box today, did some soldering.

the engine starts, idles fine, only problem is when im driving when i hit 20km in 1st gear it boggs down until i shift into second. when i shift into second i can only go 40 before it boggs then i gotta switch gears.....i have no idea what this could be :shrugs:

i have the stock cx clutch/tranny bolted up to the sohc zc, but i dont know where to start looking.

any suggestions?

check the wires on the distributor side are right (particularily the white wire with the red sleeve-- should be 2nd from the left on the bottom), that you have the pm6 computer in, and that the injectors are in the correct order

the pm6 came in the 91 civic si ? because thats the ecu i got .
91 civic si (manual transmission)

my car is running though, i drove it down the street do you still think it might be the injectors? because the engine is straight from japan, so its out of a RHD car. they might be backwards lol...
such a headache.

no injectors are the same... lol sounds like those two wires are backwards.
