just a few weeks ago i swapped a sohc zc from luckystar into my car ...i only got the engine swapped in....no tranny, computer, etc....everything else is from my old dx motor (dpfi)...now i have noticed that my motor doesnt sound or pull as hard as other zc's...i have a pm6 ecu, would i be able to plug it in and run it right away or is there other things that i have to change because of the dx parts?

Also, if i change my ecu to the pm6 insted of the pm5 and i changed the dpfi to the mpfi would it make a difference in power? gas mileage?

the mpfi swap does make a difference in power and milage. you do feel the difference for sure and the fuel milage does go a lil faster but also depends how you drive the car. if your always hitting red line obviously you will lose more fuel as you will in anycar.

no you cant just plug in a pm6 as it is running a different fuel system and program etc. you have to actually cange the intake manifold , ecu (pm6), 88-91 si distributer, a si resistor box, a si mpfi injector harness, and i think thats it but if i missed anything else im sure someone can add to it.

also my other hatch had a si motor in it and i sold it now my hatch has a dpfi and i cant stand it either so i found this link to guide me and give me an idea too. hopefully it'll help you too.
