Snows only on front wheels work?

I was wondering if snow tires on the front of the car will work with all-seasons on the rear??

i used snows on the front only all last year and i was fine, as long as you don't go too fast around corners (when snow/ice covered) your *** end won't get loose. But if you get cocky and think "oh, well, i've got snows on" then you might get into a little trouble.

Traction should be ok,but braking and handling may suffer. I think I might just stick to the all-seasons this winter. It's supposed to be milder then last year.

Global warming FTW!

if the car is front wheel drive, in flat road, with snows in the fronts, it helps to pull the car, but in down hell, with less traction, in the rear, you might swing out.. so.. depends on lucky you are, or your driving habit.
