just throw a b20z in your car with a gsr tranny and you'll be more then happy with the super low rpm torque....

I think it means have a tube inside the cylinder, to "thicken" the wall.

B20 has a thin wall. B18B has a thick wall hence it is boost friendly, don't need sleeving.

All honda motors have reliatively thin cylinder walls.....however sleeving ur motor in not necessary in my opinion...unless u plan on running super high boost.....tuning is the key!! Tune that baby right and u will not need to sleeve it!!

if you sleeve, you will have a closed deck design, therefore, coolant passages will have to be drilled, although its great for turbo applications, its more prone to overheating,

have you looked into block posting?

sleeving....they broe yoru cylinders out almost completely then press in thicker and stronger sleeves wtih liek that stated a "closed deck"...which has the sleeve wrap aroudn the top of the cylinder giving it strenght...b20's have thin sleeve and also the sleeves are of a weaker grade material aswell....if you want a good cheap turbo setup then just get a plan jane b18b with a gsr lsd tranny or just the ls tranny...then get a good kit installed with really good fuel and spark managment and tuen it good and you will be able to get 250 whp and above easily and cheaply. Posting the block is good and cheap, posting is when small stud's are tapped into the cylinder from different sides givng it a "brace effect". I'd say invest more in the turbo setup than the motor liek what parts and managment then after you max out your motors potential then get it built.

what does sleeving an engine technically do? i know it makes it stonger and stuff, but, in general, how does it do that?
